Has anybody else seen this issue.
I got caught in a downpour the other day and my clothes got literally soaked. My Galaxy tab was in my inside jacket pocket, the bottom of which was wet enough to wring out some water.
My TAB was OFF when I removed it from my pocket. Didnt' remember turning it off. It wouldn't turn on either. Oh, Crap! I thought. Well within a few hours, it turned on.
Every function and application has worked perfectly normally and the display is as terrific as the day I bought it. Even the GPS and internal compass functions are very accurate.
I say all this to explain my bewilderment at not being able to sync with my PC (Win.7 home &off ed.64bit). Previously, after buying in late Jan. I was able to hook up to PC and transfer files to SD cards in my TAB.
When I attempt to connect the USB cable to my computer, the TAB will prompt me to select between MASS STORAGE, MEDIA PLAYER, or KIES (Firmware Update).
Regardless of what I select, my computer does not recognize that anything is hooked up. Previously the PC would prompt an external drive and ask the usual scan of explore files options. Now it doesn't recognize anything even though the Tablet obviously thinks its hooked up to the computer. I tried this with several other computers I own also running windows 7 and they all do the same thing. I even just bought a new Samsung USB cable thinking maybe it was in the cable, since it did the same thing with different computers and it previuosly worked.
Could it possibly have anything to do with a Windows update and not being compatable with the KIES software?
I'mve tried everyihing I could think of, short of trying to get a new TAB from Samsung, but even if it were free, I hate to loose all the info and apps I've invested time and money installing.
