I know my memory is about 95% used. The Verizon rep told me I used too much memory, that's why it's so slow. My question is this: If you pay big bucks for the extra memory, why should you be afraid to use it because it will slow down the performance of the machine?

I don't feel this is right at all. I, for some reason, am not buying the memory excuse.

Example: When I use an app, then go directly back to the home screen, it sometimes takes ten seconds for my icons to appear. Why??

Also, turning the tablet from horizontal to vertical and vice versa, it takes three to five full seconds for the screen orientation to change. Is this Normal when most of your memory is used?

Well, there may be some truth to that. Same thing happens with a PC.

You should do as I did, just buy a big microsd card (ideally 32 Gb) and change the pics and music and vids and everything space consuming apps like games to the external microsd, so this way you could get a fairly large amount of space on your internal storage giving you better performance speed , at least that's what I got! I always try to keep 4 - 5 Gb free and so I've been able to maintain good speed and responsiveness ! Wink Wink  Cheers

Very helpful advice. I will definitely give that a shot. I'm also going to try the "memory booster" app in the market as well. Thanks again for taking the time to reply. God bless you!
